The adult learner will be able to demonstrate knowledge of Montessori philosophy, theory, and methodology.
The adult learner will become part of a “team’ in a school and will learn how to work with co-workers and with administration of the school.
The adult learner will demonstrate love for children and for the Montessori method.
The adult learner will be able to demonstrate theoretical knowledge of pertinent research findings in the field of child development and early childhood education.
The adult learner will have the insights and skills needed to work with the individual needs of children and plan for the continuity of learning experiences for children age 2 ½ through 6.
The adult learner will meet MACTE competencies related to:
- Montessori Philosophy and Human Development
- Classroom Leadership
- Curriculum Implementation
- Community Involvement and Partnership with Families
The adult learner will be able to demonstrate practical ability in implementing the Montessori philosophy and methods.
The adult learner will be able to implement human development and early education concepts to other staff, parents, and the community.
