 INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

At Chestnut Montessori School, our goal is to provide our children opportunities to grow and develop within all curriculum areas and to provide a foundation to excel in their personal and character development.

 

All teaching positions require dedicated teachers who have a passion for education and are organized, flexible, and sensitive to children's needs with solid verbal and written communication skills.

 

 

Montessori Teaching Assistant

Part time and Full time

Monday-Friday

Montessori Teaching Assistants helps implement the educational mission of the school by assisting the Lead Teacher. Responsibilities include but are not limited to classroom preparation, cleaning, observation during work periods, recess supervision, record keeping.

 

The ideal candidate is:

• Loving, enthusiastic and respectful

• Positive, punctual and dependable

• Able to multi-task, show initiative and able to accept direction

• Willing to maintain ongoing professional development.

• 18 years or older

• First Aid/CPR, and Blood Borne Pathogens training is also required. Negative TB test documentation required within 30 days of hire.

• Able to pass a Washington State Background check and provide supplemental materials showing required certifications/documentation

Montessori Intern

Part time

Monday-Friday

• Physically able to engage with the children on their level

• Able to effectively plan, problem solve, communicate and collaborate with a variety of personalities.

• Is flexible and willing to provide support where needed for the benefit of the children

After School Care Teacher

Part time

Monday-Friday

The After School Care Teacher responsibilities include but are not limited to classroom preparation, cleaning, observation during play periods, recess supervision, record keeping, oversees students after school, provide a variety of activities and games for them, serves snack and greets parents.

 

The ideal candidate is:

• Loving, enthusiastic and respectful

• Positive, punctual and dependable

• Able to multi-task, show initiative and able to accept direction

• Curious about Montessori philosophy and willing to participate in the further professional development

• Physically able to engage with the children on their level

• Able to effectively plan, problem solve, communicate and collaborate with a variety of personalities.
